Hahahahah, i was just having some random fun applying the things i learned studying the female face and the face in general, including expressions.. then i ended up with this.
I realized, after pag.2 of Mark Of Darkness, that i suck badly at drawing girls (in fact i've drawn only one girl since i started drawing... YAY! xD) So yeah, this morning i decided to study it in order to understand how i could improve...
And there you go, my random fun became a Kind-Of Tutorial! xD Hope you'll find this useful
A fun way of showing how the male and the female faces are different.
The male faces have more 'sculptured' features, especially more pronounced eyebrows, nose, cheekbones, and the chin. These features can make male faces more difficult to render, especially if they are lean, athletic types. The male bodies and arms can be more difficult to render for the very same reason -- the need to work on more lines and shadows to show their muscle mass.
I think my stint in figure drawing classes have changed my attitude towards the male vs. the female forms. Until then, it was somewhat easier to draw boys than girls. However, after completing these classes, the female forms were easier. There is a bias, since the majority of models were women, not men.
